Field Service Technician - Illinois Based

Your tasks

As a Field Service Technician you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, servicing and maintaining TOX® assembly machinery at our customer's manufacturing plants.

Install, maintain and repair machine tooling and mechanics, electronics and pneumatics
Ensure customer satisfaction through service excellence
Provide customer training and start-up support
Identify, analyze, and repair equipment failures
Strategically promote, educate and market TOX products and services to customers
Travel overnight as required by workload to complete service calls outside of normal geographic location

Your skills

Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings
Knowledge of electrical principles
Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and automated machine functions
Ability to utilize a troubleshooting methodology pertaining to electro-mechanical assemblies
Knowledge and understanding of PLC's and HMIs
Knowledge and understanding of Servo Motors and motion control
Ability to use hand and power tools
Ability to conduct tests and inspections of equipment using pressure, mechanical, or electronic testing equipment

Requirements

Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
Engineering Technology, equivalent military education or Associates Degree with 2 years of experience servicing industrial equipment, or a High School Diploma/GED and 5 or more years of experience servicing industrial equipment.
Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers
Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic equipment
Experience troubleshooting and responding to customer concerns 3-5 years in the practical application of electronics and technology 3-5 years of design, build or troubleshooting of pneumatic and/or hydraulic assembly machinery preferred
Knowledge of servo motors and drives
U.S. Visa
Up to 80% travel
