As a successful Welding-Joining Engineer with TOX® PRESSOTECHNIK you will be a creative solutions provider in the manufacturing environment. You will utilize your knowledge of production specifications, properties and characteristics of metals and alloys, and engineering principles to develop and apply clinching, functional element insertion and self-piercing rivet (SPR) products to meet our customer's needs.

In detail:

• Develop and manage clinching, functional element insertion and self-piercing rivet technologies and project solutions on the process engineering and design level for joining modern lightweight structures
• Work with customer and internal engineering teams to meet application requirements. You will have significant influence on the sales process from concept design through production start-up
• Maintain our test databases for the various technologies, maintaining a valuable resource for colleagues and customers
• Lead development efforts to provide state-of-the-art joining advances while implementing standard design practices from lessons learned

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required. Welding/Joining, Mechanical, Industrial or related field
• 2-5 years of engineering experience within the automotive industry and mass production with emphasis on assembly equipment and welding/joining engineering
• Experience with joining processes: resistance and projection welding of steel and aluminum, fastener insertion, clinching and riveting operations 
• The successful candidate will have proven leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, team building, and communication skills
